Dr. Lindsay Allen

Dr. Lindsay Allen completed her doctoral program at William James College in Newton, MA. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Thomas College. Dr. Allen completed both her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Dr. Leon O. Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment and Consultation in Newton, MA, where she conducted neuropsychological assessments and testing for clients across the lifespan regarding diagnostic questions including learning disorders, intellectual disability, attentional disorders, autism spectrum disorder, fetal alcohol syndrome, mood disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and challenges with behavioral regulation.
 

Dr. Allen draws on a broad range of experience, having worked in both private practice and community mental health settings, providing neuropsychological assessments and individual therapy. She is dedicated to collaboratively working with children, adolescents, and adults to better understand their unique perspectives, feelings, and experiences and recognizes there is no “one size fits all” approach or solution. Her clinical practice is eclectic and integrative, focusing on using a strength-based approach to provide evidence-based interventions. Her approach integrates family systems, attachment theory, play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy approaches. Dr. Allen is committed to cultivating a therapeutic environment that is safe and nurturing, enabling clients to collaboratively explore and gain insight into their individual needs and challenges.
