
Dr. Alexis Henriquez
Dr. Alexis Henriquez is a pediatric psychologist specializing in the assessment and diagnosis of children, adolescents, and young adults. She provides comprehensive, strengths-based evaluations that offer meaningful diagnostic insight and practical, individualized recommendations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a minor in Law & Society from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She earned her doctoral degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University in New York City, where she was recognized with the Ivan Wentworth-Rohr Professional Practice Award for excellence in clinical training.
Dr. Henriquez completed her pre-doctoral training in school psychology within the Oceanside, NY school district, and in clinical psychology at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center, a New York State psychiatric hospital. She went on to complete an APA-accredited pre-doctoral
internship at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she worked with children and adolescents in day treatment and inpatient settings. In this role, she provided individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based approaches, as well as psychological assessments for a wide range of concerns—including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning differences, personality disorders, and psychotic spectrum disorders.
Following her internship, Dr. Henriquez completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the day treatment behavioral health program at Primary Children’s Hospital. Her responsibilities included conducting cognitive and diagnostic assessments, facilitating parent support groups, developing behavior intervention plans, and delivering ongoing therapy to youth and their
families.
She is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and helping families and schools translate assessment results into clear, actionable strategies. Dr. Henriquez brings a deep commitment to compassionate care, diagnostic clarity, and meaningful outcomes for every child and family she
serves.
In her personal time, Dr. Henriquez enjoys reading, traveling with her husband, and doting on their beloved dog, Stowe.
