Dr. Alyssa Cetoute

Dr. Cetoute graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011 with a B.S. in Psychology. She earned her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, where she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling honor society, for her academic achievement. She later completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at William James College, with a primary concentration in African-American and Caribbean Mental Health, reflecting her commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive care. While at William James, Dr. Cetoute also received specialized training through the Opioid Workforce Expansion Program (HRSA) and the Specialized Training & Academic Retention (STAR) Fellowship Program, deepening her knowledge in integrated behavioral health, substance use, and culturally responsive clinical care.

Dr. Cetoute completed her predoctoral internship at the Dr. Leon O. Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment and Consultation in Newton, MA, where she received specialized training in comprehensive neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan. Her work included differential diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and a range of emotional and behavioral concerns in children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Cetoute is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Newton Neuropsychology Group. With over a decade of clinical experience as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician and National Certified Counselor, Dr. Cetoute has worked in a variety of settings including public schools, private practice, and community mental health conducting both neuropsychological evaluations and therapy.

Dr. Cetoute is passionate about helping individuals better understand themselves through thoughtful, individualized assessment. She believes that clear, accurate evaluations can be a powerful tool in guiding meaningful support and intervention. Her approach is holistic, collaborative, and affirming, and she strives to create a space where every client feels seen, heard, and empowered.
