Dr. Caitlyn Burns

Dr. Caitlyn Burns earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited William James College in Newton, Massachusetts. She has many years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Before joining NNG, Dr. Burns trained and worked in a variety of settings, including universities, outpatient clinics, in-home services, and school systems. She completed her two-year, APA-accredited internship at The
Stone Center Counseling Service at Wellesley College, where she provided individual and group therapy to transitional-age youth, as well as psychological assessments.

 

Dr. Burns specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Her professional interests encompass a broad range of developmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive function challenges, and social-emotional and behavioral concerns. Dr. Burns is also trained
to provide psychotherapeutic treatment, both within an individual and group setting. Therapeutically, she has experience working with a range of diagnoses and presenting issues, including anxiety, attentional disorders, emotional concerns, autism spectrum disorders, trauma histories, substance use disorders, medical conditions, and social skills difficulties.
She utilizes a relational approach to therapy while integrating evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs.


In her free time, Dr. Burns enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and taking her dogs out to play.
