Dr. Jessica Gashin

Philosophy and Training

Dr. Gashin is trained in many different types of testing and assessment, psychological, neuropsychological, developmental, and school based. This puts her in the unique position to tailor test batteries to specific questions that you have about yours or your child's functioning. 

Dr. Jessica Gashin received her BA in clinical psychology from Tufts University. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She received predoctoral training in neuropsychological testing and child and adolescent inpatient psychology at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. She completed her predoctoral internship in child and adolescent psychology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

 

After obtaining her doctorate, Dr. Gashin went on to train as a postdoctoral fellow in child and adolescent psychology at Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. While there, she worked in the child and adolescent inpatient units, school based health centers, the emergency room, and conducted assessments in the developmental disorders clinic. Her professional interests include neuropsychological and psychological assessment. Dr. Gashin works with children and adults to diagnose learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional disorders.

Dr. Gashin lives with her husband and two children in Newton, MA. On the weekends, Dr. Gashin enjoys exploring local trails with her kids. Her hobbies include, cake decorating, skiing, and hiking.
